What is Rudrabhishek?
Rudrabhishek Puja, explained.
Rudrabhishek is a sacred ritual dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Shiva Lingam is bathed (abhishek) with water, Ganga jal, milk, curd, honey, ghee and other offerings while Acharyas chant the Rudri path from the Yajurveda tradition. Kashi, the city of Lord Shiva, has a deep tradition of this puja.

When is Rudrabhishek most auspicious?
Mondays, the month of Shravan, Maha Shivratri and Pradosh days are especially popular, but it can be performed on any day chosen with the Acharya.
